Softimpact heads towards an employment and internship program for web developers

In 2019, Softimpact decided to initiate an employment and internship program for the purpose of selecting professional and skilled web and software development students aiming to find a career in the development world.

The program includes awareness and career path tips to familiarize the future techies with what awaits them in the job market, in addition to highlighting what Softimpact seeks in its future web developers.

The first university that welcomed us on Tuesday February 26th 2019 was Universite Saint Joseph – USJ, ESIB.

Our Human Resources Department representatives delivered a presentation for students from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m., followed by one on one interviews with USJ undergraduates.

Web and software development Students have shown dedication and commitment to build a strong career path and accepted the guidance provided by our team.

Here are some tips from Softimpact to the future developers and IT people aiming for a successful career:

- Adopt a constant technology learning lifestyle
- Practice Makes Perfect: coding in web development is a major criteria, and without practice you might fail.
- A web developer is also an analyst
- Improve your attention to details
- Security solutions are important
- Know your value versus the market
- Be Project Management oriented
- Document your portfolio
- Start with internships in web and software development companies before graduation
- Develop a specialty, master a minimum of two technologies and two languages. If possible, work hard to become a full stack developer.
- Audit yourself: a successful development specialist is able to audit his work for better outcome.
- Be humble: modesty in the world of web development helps you ace in any role you occupy.

The career path program started with USJ and will continue all along this year with other universities to maximize the number of talents obtaining internship and employment career opportunities in the web development department at Softimpact.
