English schools face covid-19 repercussions with “Artificial Intelligence”
August 20, 2021
The majority of schools around the world have been affected by the repercussions of the spread of the coronavirus, which has turned into a global epidemic (pandemic), and the resulting suspension or complete suspension of studies in some regions.
Schools in England were part of the global crisis that affected schools around the world, which prompted an online education company to design a special program called “Century” that relies on the use of artificial intelligence to teach students, according to a report on the use of artificial intelligence in education, It was published by the Saudi "Al-Eqtisadiah" newspaper.
The report says that students at St John's Primary School, in Wigan, northwest England, are waiting for a teaching assistant based on artificial intelligence during the next semester, noting that it helps the teacher design lessons for each student individually.
The idea of the program depends on knowing the level of students by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each of them, according to their response rates to a set of questions in many subjects, which is what the teacher relies on to develop a special plan for each student to overcome his weaknesses in the future.
The report pointed out that the program that was used during the pandemic has now reached 800,000 students in the United Kingdom, including government schools and elite schools.
The report pointed out that the program is for each school, with fees starting from 2,500 pounds (3425 US dollars) and up to 12,000 pounds (16,440 dollars), depending on the number of students who use this platform.
