Back in October of 2015 we shared the news that streaming service Netflix would be coming to the Middle East, and finally in January of 2016, it has become a reality.
As previous mentioned Netflix is one of the most successful “dot-come” ventures to date. In 2015 it had over 60 million subscribers and operated in 50 countries, the number of subscribers is set to grow as the company launches its services globally to over 130 new countries (with the exception of China).
Lebanese users are finally able to watch an unlimited amount of TV shows and movies anything, anywhere for plans that start at $7.99 a month (identical to the plans which are available to users in the United States).
If you’re worried about how the speed of Lebanese Internet will affect your viewing pleasure, Netflix officially stated that “Watching movies or TV shows on Netflix uses about 1 GB of data per hour for each stream of standard definition video, and up to 3 GB per hour for each stream of HD video”.
