Good for the company, good for the environment, good for Lebanon. Softimpact recycles

Who didn’t write yet about the garbage crisis in Lebanon? That’s right, we didn’t.
Worry not, this will not be another article about how corrupted our system is, it is not about the negative effects of the makeshift dumpsters that are spread like a skin disease on our streets everywhere, and it is definitely not about the clear lack of a real suggested solution. Softimpact adopted a new recycling program.
Did you know that up to 70% of the trash from an office like ours is paper and plastic that can be recycled and repurposed? And when is a better time to start adopting a more environmental friendly approach towards our waste and resources?
Since businesses produce a large percentage of a city’s waste, it is critical that we do our share to help meet the recycling goal. And of course, recycling helps preserve natural resources – every ton of paper recycled saves 17 trees!
With this in mind, we are implementing a new recycling program in our offices. We encouraged our employees to actively participate in our company’s recycling efforts. Placing containers where possible to separate our office waste based on the organic/non organic products, it is now very easy for employees to recycle.
With everyone’s participation, we are confident that we can do our part to help the city’s recycling efforts.
