Strategies that help you stay active while working from home

April 6, 2020

Due to the pandemic corona virus, working from home is becoming increasingly popular. It can be beneficial for both the employee and the employer, but there are also a few potential problems that can come with remote work as well.

Working remotely can make it difficult to the both parties to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Sitting in one spot for a long period of time, without meetings or coworkers reminding you to walk around once in a while can lead to an unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle.

It is very important to stay active when you work from home to improve your concentration, help you sleep better, and stops you from feeling isolated.

Ideas to motivate yourself:

- Set alarms to stand up and stretch
- Join an online yoga class
- Use household items as weights
- Put on workout clothes when you wake up
- Start the day with a plank hold
- Try the seven-minute workout app
- Use an at-home spin bike
