Easy Steps to Apply for a Verified Badge on Instagram!
August 31, 2018
Instagram has finally allowed its users to apply to have their accounts verified with a blue badge.
Instagram co-founder and chief technology officer Mike Krieger described the blue badge as “an important way for you to know that the account you are interacting with is the authentic presence of a notable public figure, celebrity, global brand, or entity.”
The process is now easier, IOS only:
- Go to Instagram application
- Select the settings icon
- Request a verification
- Submit government-issued IDs (driver’s license, passport or other national ID cards).
Mike Krieger says that once your request has been reviewed, you’ll receive a message in your notifications tab confirming or declining it, though he doesn’t say how long the process is likely to take.
If you are rejected you can reapply after 30 days.
